Resumo:
Combu Island is an important tourist destination and home to riverside communities. Currently, mobility within the island and between the island and the city of Belém (PA) is a challenge, which compromises the development of this region and the access of the island's local residents to the benefits that the urban area of Belém can provide them. Therefore, this study sought to propose river routes that would allow the mobility of residents and tourists, where to achieve this objective, it was necessary to characterize the micro-regions of the Island, as well as quantify this population, in order to determine the best embarkation points within the Island. Demand from tourists and residents was also raised in relation to times and number of trips, corroborating the suggestion for the tourist route. The research is of an applied nature, with a quantitative approach, where the following procedures were carried out: bibliographical research, documentary research and field research. The findings pointed to the creation of a tourist route, where the Microareas Igarapé Combu (M1), Furo do Paciência and Piriquitaquara (M2) and Furo São Benedito (M3) will be served, with a total of 1,589 residents. For tourist mobility, vessels will carry out a minimum number of ten (10) trips per day. Five (05) trips must take place in the THRB – Combu direction and five (05) trips in the Combu – THRB direction. Furthermore, the operating hours of the lines must start at 9 am and end at 8 pm, according to the terminal's operation. Future demand research is needed where data can be categorized between residents and tourists.
