Evidencing the growth of new technologies in current times, there is a change in the traditional configurations of University Libraries, the electronic medium and network communication present new perspectives of education between librarians and users. Remote learning has reached a relevant space in education in the new pandemic scenario by Covid-19. This modality is adopted by institutions on an emergency basis, as an alternative to continue the care and teaching-learning process. In this sense, the present work has as general objective to verify the occurrence of in-person and remote training of users and its offer by university libraries in the north and northeast of Brazil, in the period from 2019 to 2020. For this, through the specific objectives, it sought to: Characterize the university library context during a pandemic; Identify the number of user training that took place in person and remotely; Showing the overview of the occurrence of training and the number of assistances before and during the pandemic. The work is configured as a descriptive and exploratory study, with a qualitative and quantitative approach. We used the use of electronic tools such as questionnaires for data collection. The results undermined that virtual training offerings were timely and critical during the pandemic period. It is concluded that the provision of virtual training is essential for the information society that aims at development based on educational, social and other aspects.
