The present Course Conclusion Work was developed within the scope of the Pedagogy Course at UFAM/IEAA, whose objective was to present an initial construction of the state of knowledge of the Course Conclusion Papers that had in their central focus the teaching of Geography in the early years within the scope of public and private universities in the northern region of Brazil. To this end, a survey was developed, which we call in this work, the State of Knowledge about the TCCs produced between 2011 and 2021 in Higher Education Institutions. Regarding the research method, we chose to use a qualitative approach in education, with emphasis on the techniques of literature review and collection and analysis of documentary data. We used as theoretical support authors and actors who discuss the Teaching of Geography in the Early Years, as well as authors who help in discussions about research of the State of Knowledge type. Among the results found, we note that the teaching of Geography in the early years, based on the search descriptors “geography in the early years”, “music in geography teaching” and “geography teaching methodologies”, has not been the stage for academic production in the Course Conclusion Papers, which reveals a certain lack of merit around the theme in the teacher training of pedagogy courses in northern Brazil. Only two TCCs were found, these with productions linked to public institutions. Based on the results found, we consider that Geography in the Initial Years is still not considered an important topic to be worked on in TCCs, which leads to thinking that the teaching of Geography for the mentioned level of education lacks attention in the teacher training offered by the teaching institutions (private and public) in the northern region of Brazil and that many efforts still must be taken so that the reality of research in the teaching of Geography acquires new horizons. |
