The data analysis was performed using the content analysis technique. With the collection of information throughout the research and the analysis of the information, it was possible to conclude that playing within the therapeutic process with children is fundamental for the assistance to take place, since it allows the expression of unconscious fantasies, elaboration of contents and re-signification of experiences, by the assisted children. In addition to taking place in an intermediate space of experience, which associates and at the same time separates, elements of internal or subjective and external or shared reality, which contributes to the enrichment of the therapeutic process.
