Resumo:
The objective of this study was to investigate the reality experienced by Physical Education teachers in their pedagogical practices in the initial years of elementary school, in state schools in the public education network in the city of Parintins - AM. The sample was formed by a group of 10 (ten) teachers of both sexes, aged between 31 and over 50 years old. As an instrument, we used a questionnaire for teachers composed of open and semi-open questions regarding: the socioeconomic and cultural profile; academic education; professional experience and teaching experience in elementary education. Through the questionnaire, teachers reported that the reality of state public schools in the Municipality of Parintins-AM is challenging, there are numerous factors that affect the effectiveness of Physical Education classes, making teachers feel dissatisfied regarding their pedagogical practices. Based on the findings, it was possible to achieve the objectives of this study, as the results showed that it was possible to understand the reality that teachers in the initial years of elementary education in the public schools investigated in the state network of Parintins-AM face in the face of their pedagogical practices.
