The sample was formed by a group of 10 (ten) teachers of both sexes, aged between 31 and over 50 years old. As an instrument, we used a questionnaire for teachers composed of open and semi-open questions regarding: the socioeconomic and cultural profile; academic education; professional experience and teaching experience in elementary education. Through the questionnaire, teachers reported that the reality of state public schools in the Municipality of Parintins-AM is challenging, there are numerous factors that affect the effectiveness of Physical Education classes, making teachers feel dissatisfied regarding their pedagogical practices. Based on the findings, it was possible to achieve the objectives of this study, as the results showed that it was possible to understand the reality that teachers in the initial years of elementary education in the public schools investigated in the state network of Parintins-AM face in the face of their pedagogical practices. O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar a realidade vivenciada pelos professores(as) de Educação Física em suas práticas pedagógicas nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental, das escolas estaduais da rede pública de ensino da cidade de Parintins - AM. A amostra foi formada por um grupo de 10(dez) professores(as) de ambos os sexos, na faixa etária entre 31 e acima de 50 anos. Utilizamos como instrumento um questionário destinado aos professores(as) composto por perguntas abertas e semiabertas referentes sobre: o perfil socioeconômico e cultural; formação acadêmica; experiência profissional e sobre a atuação docente no ensino fundamental. Por meio do questionário os professores(as) relataram que a realidade das escolas públicas estaduais no Município de Parintins-AM é desafiadora, são inúmeros fatores que afetam a efetividade das aulas de Educação Física, fazendo com que os professores(as) se sintam insatisfeitos diante suas práticas pedagógicas. A partir dos achados, foi possível atingir os objetivos deste estudo, pois os resultados evidenciaram que foi possível compreender a realidade que os professores(as) dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental das escolas públicas investigadas da rede estadual de Parintins-AM, enfrentam diante suas práticas pedagógicas.
