Resumo:
Tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum) points out among others Amazonian species for fish culture, by his easy culture in artificial ambient because he have a good accept for extruded and pellet feed and also for agro industries sub products. Others characteristics are: handle rusticity, tolerance to low dissolved oxygen ambient and artificial reproduction known which guarantee juveniles in any season of the year. With de less offer of fishmeal in the world market allied to its higher price, researches looking for alternative protein sources with high quality and that promote a good performance with low costs became necessary. The aim of this work was to evaluate the performance and digestibility of Tambaqui juveniles fed with extruded feed with different Amazonian fruits residue. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design. Five feeds were formulated each one characterizing one treatment. The experimental units were characterized by 20 fishes held in a net-tank and each treatment had 3 replicates. The control feed was the one who didn t had fruits residues in the formulation and the others treatments were characterized by the substitution of 30% of the control feed by each one of the fruits residues that would be tested. The productive indices determined were: protein efficiency rate, apparent feed conversion, weight gain and relative growth rate. The water parameters were also measured. The coefficients of apparent digestibility for the feed and for the tested ingredients were also determined. With the results obtained for the performance and digestibility, we can affirm that the acerola and jenipapo residues can be used like alternative protein sources and that researches looking for a best utility of the non nitrogen extracts of these ingredients are convenient.
