It was used as instrument of data collection interview involving 01 school director; 01 pedagogical coordinator and 05 teachers from the 1st to 5th year of elementary school. The research was based on authors such as: Vivaldo (2009); Dallari, (2002); Small (2001); Brito (2007), among others, besides documents such as LDB 9394/96 and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, discuss the subject in question. The paper is organized as follows: the introduction presents a quick overview of the theme; the first section addresses a brief history of Human Rights Education in Brazil. The second section discusses the contributions of human rights education in the educational context. The third section emphasizes the methodological guidelines for conducting this research. The fourth section presents the research findings and in the fifth and last section the final considerations are presented. The study showed that the school unit studied works with human rights education, however, there is still a need for the school community to reflect on the importance of the subject for the integral formation of the student and thus to review the curriculum and insert in the Political Project Pedagogical actions that may favor the strengthening and dissemination of this extremely important theme. Este trabalho tem como objetivo conhecer e analisar como está sendo trabalhada a Educação em Direitos Humanos nas turmas do 1º ao 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental do Centro Municipal de Educação Básica Profª. Lívia Lorene Bueno Maia sob a ótica dos professores, coordenadores pedagógicos e diretora escolar. Utilizou se como instrumento de coleta de dados entrevista envolvendo 01 diretor escolar; 01 coordenador pedagógico e 05 professores das turmas do 1º ao 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental. A pesquisa foi embasada em autores como: Vivaldo (2009); Dallari,( 2002); Pequeno (2001); Brito (2007) dentre outros, além de documentos como a LDB 9394/96 e a Declaração Universal dos Direitos Humanos discutem o tema em questão. O trabalho está organizado da seguinte forma: a introdução apresenta uma visão rápida da temática; a primeira seção aborda um breve histórico da Educação em Direitos Humanos no Brasil. A segunda seção discute as contribuições da educação em direitos humanos no contexto educacional. A terceira seção enfatiza os encaminhamentos metodológicos para realização desta pesquisa. A quarta seção apresenta os achados da pesquisa e na quinta e última seção são apresentadas as considerações finais.
