ABSTRACT: The present work seeks to investigate how the teaching of Afro-Brazilian
Culture has been taking place in physical education classes in the final years of elementary
school in public schools in the city of Porto Franco- MA. This research is validated in the
IDA (Institutional Discourse Analysis) method in its broad possibilities, not only restricted to
a form of data collection and analysis, but also as a way of thinking. Thus, through analysis of
interviews conducted with four teachers representing the four schools relevant to the research,
it was possible to perceive that there is a scarcity and difficulty in working with this theme,
especially regarding the practice of activities. Furthermore, it was possible to notice that there
is a deficit in the direction of activities focused on this theme on a municipal scale, even if the
teaching of Afro-Brazilian Culture is mandatory from Law 10.639. |
